Electric handbrake in my wifes car. Citroen C4.
Its slow to react, still requires a hand to use/release it and I honestly can't see it being anything other than a step backwards from a proper handbrake.

If that car had run on petrol instead of diesel I'd have been tempted to set the bastard on fire today.

27€ for a small bottle smarted a bit :(
That sounds a lot, which loctite product?

Be careful as there is a lot of bogus locktite stuff being flogged on eBay and amazon.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

27c per litre isn't that bad, I'm surprised you bought so much though.

That's really expensive threadlock. There's a big selection available for RC cars at a fraction of the price, I'm not sure why the branded one will be so much better.

I needed it today. Sometimes (rarely) I just bite the bullet and pay. It was across the counter so didn't know the price until I paid.

Planes use Loctite, so it's good enough for me :D

It only tightens to 60 Nm so needs a bit of help maybe?

Boilers, or more specifically, broken ones. Chez Gremlin's trusty Worcester Greenstar 42CDi is on the blink. Heating ok-ish, but intermittent hot water. Had a number of cold showers of late, but I understand they're quite good for the body and soul, although they do make the meat and two veg beat a hasty retreat. :D

Currently eyeing up a new Viessman 111-w combi boiler with 42l tank, just to impress the chicks. Get in!

Washing machines, more specifically my Mum's (Bosch). It's not moving on from the wash cycle - just keeps washing. It drains when you put it on drain. It spins when you put it on spin. A bit of hunting around the interweb and I've diagnosed a faulty heating element (I guess it won't move through the cycle unless the desired temperature is achieved). So - I'll get my son to help me pull it out to get the serial number and will order a new heating element. My theory with all mechanical things is that if you can get the old one off, you can put a new one on

A combi with a tank, I didn't know such wonders existed, I was almost tempted to cancel my green homes voucher and scrap the solar thermal but then I remembered chicks dig solar panels.

Same. You think you've seen all the wonders on God's good earth and then, bam! Along comes something of wonder such as this. No more pressure lows for me when two or more showers are on the go.

I need to return an item to Chain Reaction Cycles.

Go to website, fill out form, get redirected to another website to sort the post "we will email you a QR code"

I head down to Asda to send the parcel. No QR code in my emails :(

Contact CRC "can I get a code please" yeah sure here it is "perfect" !! Can't save it, ohh well it's on my phone screen it'll be fine

head into Asda, go to customer services "I need to send this" OK show me the QR code

It's then that I discover that I can no longer view the code because CRC have covered it up with a survey to see how I got on with their chat "well it was fine until you fuckers ruined it. Now I have to head back out the store and stand in the carpark getting the code again"!!

I swear it wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't effin Asda, half the people I see make me feel good about myself, the other half make me itch :silent:
