I remember seeing that... my parents would've rented it from the list of dodgy pirate videos that used to circulate out estate in the early 80s.

Also Malcolm, a low budget Oz movie that is genuinely brilliant.

It was on the telly some time in the 1980s, I remember seeing it while I lived at my parents and they never had a video while I lived there.

The ones I enjoyed and watched the most in the 80’s

Highlander
Blade Runner

And I have a bit of a soft spot for The Princess Bride (my kids think I’m very wierd when I tried to get them to watch it)

That's right it's 1982. Get out of the sixties.

Most watched 80s films I watched 'at the time' - probably Excalibur and Back to the Future.
Most watched 80s films I watched 'subsequently' - probably the same but add in Withnail.

Since I haven't been to a cinema since 1978 ( possible earlier) most a the films I seen have been on the telly so somewhat limited. Also, I generally watch for entertainment, not quality. Sooo........... "Who framed Roger Rabbit?" because it made me laugh. And a second one which was totally the opposite to my usual viewing, "Das Boot" which, to my embarrassment, made me cry.

The first film I can recall watching on VCR. I think we must have borrowed a VCR off a neighbour (not that we were poor or anything, my folks were terribly poor technology adopters) and that must have been something the neighbour had taped. I must have watched it 10 times just because I could.

The Wrath of Khan.
