Once that crowd has gone you need a very very special bike indeed to retain lots of value.

Who knows, some things manage to make the leap to prices that have very little to do with what they actually are and they become speculation pieces.
I think there are too many 350LC's to go properly crackers like a Vincent or RC45, but you never know.
Back 6-7 years ago, these MVs in this scheme were £5999 up at Ducati Aylesbury with 1000 miles. I almost bought one but couldn't as i had issues getting insured.

I was eight years old when the LC came out, but all the big boys had them in the early 80's when I was starting to notice bikes and by the mid-80's when I was really keen it seemed to be all the local hooligans could afford and they were always ripping around on them, so I always wanted one.
Most of the LC crowd seem to be in their 50's and I'm probably one of the youngest, other than the odd one.

I only remember LCs as race bikes. But they sold many for the road.

By the time I was old enough for one you could pick a tidy runner up for £500, which was still a good bit of money but it wasn't the £2k+ that a TZR250 would cost. So unless you had rich and generous parents then most of us apprentices rode LCs.
