Its not helped by having the biggest bubble they could find The fairing doesn't look so high on other P&Ms, I assume its been replaced

They're supposed to handle very nicely, better than the Harris Magnum which is the same era, GS1000 engine is good, though 105bhp is about 15 down on what's needed to be competitive, and the Mikuni flat slides aren't eligible for the class it would race in, GS1000s usually raced on Mikuni VM33 smooth bores, for reference my set cost £300 2nd hand a couple of years ago, Keihin CR33s work better, about £1500 new.

I don't think it's worth what they're asking, but it would depend on how much you wanted a P&M frame, similar spec Harris, Saxon or Moto Martin would be £7K

I have a real soft spot for GS1000's and that one seems to have a few of the right ingredients but by Jebus its bloody ugly.
I'd still love to have it but that fairing has a look only it's mother could love.

Also, I might be overly cautious on this but the back shocker held in place with the hollow pin thats got that R pin through it, well, it worries me.

I mean, how quickly does anyone need to pull either the shocker or the swingarm? The top mount seems normal enough, just the bottom one.
The wheels, yeah but quick release swingarm or back shock?

Front end is low, it's got 89 EXUP forks, wheel and brakes with the forks a couple of inches through the yokes, EXUP forks are at least 50mm shorter than the forks the chassis was designed for.

Also £9K for a bike with a £250 front end, they're really taking the piss.

It's a mess and actually looks worse than bikes of the era it's trying to ape. I was never a great fan of the bulbous, bug-eyed look back in the day and the passing of time has certainly done it no favours. Somebody's either delusional or 'avin a larf...
