That's ridiculous. The standard pipes are under the bike.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 6:22 pm
Complete exhaust system D200 for Ducati Panigale V4.
I like the CF heatshield/bumper with the termi sticker on it
Why create extra "stuff" ?

BMW have filed (Aug 2018, but requested a delay on publication) IP for this:
I can't find very many good pictures, but I think they ditch the catalytic convertor. In the standard bike the pipes have to go from the heads which are naturally at the top of the engine, down into the cat (which is quite big) and then up a little bit into the silencer.Yorick wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 6:27 pmThat's ridiculous. Saw that racing in Battle of the Twins events... a real beast. Engine as stressed member was way ahead of its time too.
The Katana is a 400, should sound like a GSXR400Tricky wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 8:36 am A couple here from my visit to Dynotech, my (now not exactly local) friendly engine builders and tuners
A CBR600 engined Junior class drag bike- it got wheeled off the dyno for my 390 to go on.
It's not got the standard CBR loom or anything really rather than the actual engine block, their work has been installing and setting up an "Octtane" specialist ECU, which by the sound of it has been challenging mainly as its really designed for cars- was a fascinating (for me) discussion.
And this, also at Dynotech- not because it's particularly rare or that interesting to look at (the rear looked absolutely hideous and I thought the lagged header pipes and his number plate slogan were all just a bit sad ), but what was interesting was the sound as the owner gave it full beans down the road when he left- 4 IL4s are a bit meh in sound usually for me but this was not your regular IL4 race can sound, absolutely gorgeous, like a higher-pitched 1980s full-on Escort Mexico or Lotus cortina
I like that. The other two aren't bad either, but I'd happily own the Mule. Very tidy.Horse wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 4:52 pm A few from here:

I wouldn't call any of the first three (well, 2) 'cafe racers'!
