Re: 2021, riding mileage and updates
Another 50km today. Probably the hardest/testing days cycling I’ve had. Went North london to East then West then home. Now the issue was I pulled a little bit of glass out of my tyre and changed the inner tube , but in the process broke one of the 2 tyre levers I had, so my mate went to a shop close by and got a new set, then with out knowing I pinched the tube getting the tyre on, then spent 10/15 minutes trying to pump it up, trying to make sure the pump was on right, took the tube out and used my last patch. Put my spare in and did exactly the same. Twat.
Mate then went back and bought me a new tube, fitted that. Sorted and got on my way, got to Oxford Circus and needed a little more air in there, then whilst adding more air the bike fell and the valve broke in the pump so had to limp to a local Evans cycles, they removed the broken valve from the pump for me and had no tubes so bought patches, patched up the tube, fitted it and all sorted. Wow. That was bloody long.

Re: 2021, riding mileage and updates
Did short but quite hard ride, nothing crazy but did Swains lane 4 times, quite a decent work out. My aim is to do 10 in a row, with the odd break of course, and also 3 minutes 20 is my goal, so need to shave 17 seconds off

No riding for me due to bloody toothache, anytime my HR goes over 160 it feels like my tooth is going to explode.

"My dear Doctor, they're all true."

I did a ride a lunch with my lad
Did a Zwift ride this afternoon.
Been a bit of a day, the cycling keeps the darkness at bay

Road and trail loop today with gusting 25 mph winds coming from the coast. Despite that manage the 22 mile loop in under 1 minute 30 on big MTB tyres for the first time .
Another visit from the border forces patrol boat
More worrying was another section of dune washed away on my usual route

Went out today for 25 mile road and dunes loop after checking weather which said no chance of rain for 2 to 3 hours ....... 20 minutes after leaving started drizzle then hammered down. Good job I left my rain jacket in the house isn’t it . Twat

Re: 2021, riding mileage and updates
Did 20km today, in my thermal bib tights and a long sleeved jersey, not the cleverest thing I’ve done, was a tad warm.
Any ways that include 6/7 reps of Swains lane. Can’t remember, did’t have the mind set to do the 10 I set out today do. But next time I’ll do 10, I hope.
Also fitted new tyres, pure road ones, Conti Grand Prix GT, the old ones were road/light gravel. So far seem good. Let’s see but happy.
