Exposed belts are just silly.

Plumbing looks ugly most of the time, could have made it look better with some curves (the hoses look tight on the shot).

Well done Weeksy, you finished the Lego Ducati pretty quickly, all those little wheels and belts must have taken ages.

For a watercooled naked bike I reckon that ones a boatload better looking than most.
Even aircooled bikes often have oilcoolers which need pipes.
Personal taste I guess but thats just me saying I quite like it.

I must admit I like it too, even though I'm not a Ducati fan as such.

I know this bike, and the guy that built it, he's pretty handy as an engineer. He writes blogs of his projects, always interesting to read, this bike here:

More to that than junking the mudguards and a fancy paintjob.Zimbo wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 4:42 pm I know this bike, and the guy that built it, he's pretty handy as an engineer. He writes blogs of his projects, always interesting to read, this bike here:

He's done a Multistrada version (air cooled 998) in the same colour, He really knows his stuff. I reckon £6k for that is pretty good.

Personally I'd have left the fuel injection in place, but no question he does a very thorough job! He's just completed a 900 monster restoration, another beautifully finished bike. Looking forward to his next project, he does one every winter.

Aircooled and watercooled together. I like the way he doesn't waste paint too

Here's the monster he's just done. Check out the Ducati custom manufacturers group on FB or Tony Lloyd

Can't say I was ever blown away by Monsters, the 600 at least always seemed to have been named badly.
It was never a monster was it?
Plus loads I saw looked like they'd been stored in dockwater and corroded faster than a Harley.

They're the great fun to ride, especially the 900.demographic wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 1:55 pm Can't say I was ever blown away by Monsters, the 600 at least always seemed to have been named badly.

Two radiators in the workshop, that's a bit extravagant.
