M8 bike shop is UK based and all the pics are watermarked. Will wait to see if I get a reply as I don't want to start throwing stones.

No probs. But don't be scared to ask opinions on here.

Some of them might sober up. But then it's dinner time. Oops.

Don't buy blind.

You already have 2 Jap IL4's, why buy another ?

I would love a 1299 but sadly i doubt my knees would thank me for it so i went for the big upright Ducati instead. Lots of power, lots of comfort and the character i had heard about from the big twin engine. I have ridden IL4's since and while fast and comfortable they just dont have the same "feel". I might go back to one in a few years but not for now

The powerslide one?

It looks like it's still got the tyre soap on the wheels.

You make the choice.

I always put the original tyres back on mine for the photos.
Or, he's just honest and not trying to hide anything

Nothing personal inferred here- am just saying...

My mate will disagree. As will Lee with the V4.

But they have shinier bikes.

Aprilia Tuono V4 1100. Comfortable, fast as f**k. looks gorgeous, best dynamics in class and is just the best sounding road bike. If you can afford a Panigale 1299 you can certainly afford a Tuono. V engines kick ass on IL4s all day long.

If I already had a Blade and ZX10 then it'd be a Ducati for me.

Although as Mango says a Prilla V4 would be awesome too.

Cheers for all the input.Fancied the 1299s as it was the last of the v-twin model.
Two good mates have aprilia v4 and the new ducati v4.rode them both but not in mental modes.
Aprilia never again took me nearly a year for a few parts to arrive after a minor spill.
Deffo not buying a bike unseen but will have to wait after the lockdown crap has finished. That power slide bike does not fill me with confidence either.

I think you'll find that Aprilia spares availability is now on a par with most other makes. There was a period in the mid-2000s when spares were almost unobtainable, I know. Not any more. But as the saying goes 'once bitten, twice shy'...
