WTF I've remembered this I don't know, I paid £125 for my CB125 in early 1982, M reg it was.

And no, I'm not daft enough to spend the better part of £5K just to rediscover my youth.

Its only £800 to recapture mine!

Very slowly.

Edit: That looks suspiciously like a 4 banger though? Mine (2000) must have been at the end of the stroker era for Peugeot...also the only 2 stroke 'bike' I've owned :D

If only it was in 'Cat Sick' Yellow like mine was (and had a white topbox).

A 93 Honda cbr 600 f2... It was the bike I bought after taking a break whilst starting a family. After the 70's and early 80's road bikes that had been before it was a revelation in the handling department. The Fireblade that replaced it some 5 years later was a disappointment.

Like this one on ebay but it had a reverse paint scheme with the red and purple swapped. Sounds gash but it was individual and I liked it.

Iccy just sold one of those...bit far away from you though. :D I've got the later f3 in the very similar colours, exactly like this.

Yamaha 2 strokes were very popular in the 70s and 80s, they were better than Suzuki or Kawasaki 2 strokes, and 4 strokes were slow and heavy.

Honda CG125, similar to this.

We had one as the training scheme loan bike. I've posted (probably too many times :D ) that it gave me probably my best ever biking moment: flat out, downhill, leant over the bars, stretching the throttle cable and laughing out loud. Overtaking a 911, driven by the most bored-looking bloke.

Smiles per £? Couldn't beat it :)

I’ll go with the RD Yamaha that was my second bike after the KH250 that I started on.

My mate had a 250 that I may or may not have done a side panel swap with.

The quickest ‘250’ in town.

It doesn't surprise me that stinkwheels are so well represented...

This is the bike I wish I'd never sold and in which I'd invested ridiculous amounts of time, effort and money.

It weighed 130kg dripping wet and had a Gerry Pell tuned YPVS motor in a Hejira box section steel chassis, Astralite wheels and a Billet-6 front caliper.

Suzuki K11, 80cc of two stroke heaven

[url]https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-K-11p ... xgDV0C/url]

My first bike, in blue, aged 14 in the middle of Africa. Must have done 20,000 miles on it, all on dirt roads, before upgrading to a TS125ER. It put up with a lot of abuse and missed maintenance, never let me down once ....

Ignoring various field bikes that preceded it, this is where it all started for me. I fitted a Malossi 60cc barrel and piston and the ubiquitous Micron

I know it's madness isn't it- I doubt it will go for that much but when 'peds are being advertised for more than X7s and RD 250s there's something wrong...

I love this from the AP50 listing:

WITH NEAR ZERO INTEREST RATES, AND THE 50CC MARKET IN FULL SWING, NOW IS THE TIME TO INVEST IN ICONIC 70S MOPEDS

He's seeing absolutely right, just not from the buyers POV.
