Why do bike manufacturers spend millions on frame development when they could just bend some scaffolding poles and weld them together?

Need a route for the exhaust? Cut a piece out.
And the frame will rust like fuck.

Do they really though? It's not rocket science.
To be fair (although not to everyone's taste) from this distance that doesn't look too bad. I've seen some shockers that were roadworthy enough. That ones very much overengineered with the size of those tubes.

Might have been better to keep the sheet over it and add an air of mystery.

It might be just the angle of the photo, but to me, it looks like the bottom 'arm' of that pointless front suspension set up is already bent !

I must look at this thread more often!! Some of these have proper cheered me up with the full on WTAF factor :) :)

Mind you, I did know someone that went to the same bike cafe as me that rode a 'cruiser' thing that must have been built out of spare parts - that has a piece of checker plate as a seat!! LOL LOL

That is a cracking find, those pics made me genuinely laugh out loud at first glance- there is so much to enjoy there, with either the silencer brackets or the jaunty angle of the clutch lever being my current favourites.
I am still smirking now, in a scared sort of way- some fucker built and rode that!
That is indeed a proper "WTF" bike (well, trike) :D

A tin of paint and some alloy wheels would make it look better, putting the poor thing back to standard would make it ride better

A ton of petrol and a match would be better for the trike...
