XSR vs ZRS

If this doesn't get me banned, nothing will.

Similar performance, ones a triple, the other an IL4, there's a little difference in price, but lets forget that.

Which would you pick (do the frickin' Poll)?

TBH i really like both, but the Triple engine over the IL4 would sell the XSR for me.

I also think the Z900 needs black headers/exhaust.

I'm torn.

I think I'd prefer the engine of the XSR, but the frame/tank shape put me off.

The RS wheels look great.

I like how Yamaha have themed the XSR, with the round tail light, head light and exhaust end cap which they followed through to some of the brackets, nice little details that the Kwak doesn't have.

Street Triple. Obviously.

But out of those two second choices, the Yamaha. The Kwak is attempting to pull heartstrings I don't have.

I’ve ridden the Z a fair bit, it’s a bit heavy feeling and a bit wallowy when pushing on. Engine is nice though. Z looks more together but I’d prob get the xsr as the engine is superb

Definitely the triple for me, but sat on this colour at JandS and quite liked it. Never ridden tho.

I'm pretty much a fan of the big K and a former owner of a Z1 back in the day,so I kinda like the looks of the RS,but not strongly.

The two bikes are sort of apples/oranges,the RS is a tip of the hat to an iconic machine, whereas the Yam is a new bike which,if you squint looks a bit like a naked TZ750. Yamaha uses little more than a colour scheme to link with the past.

When I was considering a new bike last Summer,I could have chosen the RS,but I didn't really want to buy into that retro vibe,it seems like I did that in the 70s and have no need to retrace my steps. The RS also seemed very small/low dimensionally to me,I reckon it'll drag it's arse everywhere.

Despite my inclination for Kawasakis,I love a bike with ease of handling,or at least one which can be made to handle the way I want,so on that basis I strongly suspect the Yamaha has a real head start and since I only have two bikes to choose from,I'm breaking ranks and voting for the XSR.

Also,unlike KFB,I don't want banned.

I haven't ridden either, so I can only go on looks, and the Kawasaki looks a lot better, but neither of them work for me looks wise.

Xsr but it needs the jvb super 7 kit on it, if it has to stay stock the zed is just so much nicer to look at and I've already got a triple in the shed

On looks alone I'd pick the Z. It just looks more finished, like everything was designed to fit together.

The cp3 is hard to knock though

I don't think you can go wrong with either, they're both Mondeo bikes but there is nothing wrong with that if you're not looking for something niche.

If I had to keep it stock I'd buy the Yamaha because it looks a bit more sporty and the engine, but if I was allowed to modify them then I'd get the Zed because it has huge potential to look great as an AC Sanctuary style custom.
