They've not been paid yet, not even a deposit.Wreckless Rat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 6:14 pm “Come back on Monday” ....that’s the last you’ll see of them.....

To ask a perhaps daft question but which bit is being block paved? The levels look odd, there is still the pavers at the front and no room for 2” sand and then blocks ...and if it’s com8ngball the way over, the issue on the pavers this side? Where is it finishing

It's a trick of the camera angle. There's also still some edging to finish and another round of flattening.Wreckless Rat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 6:17 pm To ask a perhaps daft question but which bit is being block paved? They took four or five massive dumper loads of top soil, clay and building waste (it's where the builders dumped all their crap when the estate was built in 2001) away.

Moved the sacred chickens an ducks to their new home and shifted a load more pallets ready for building the fortifications tomorrow.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Pottered around, bit of grocery shopping, played with dog, made dessert of dinner (milky bar cheesecake) and then prepared the main event (roast chicken with all the trimmings), noticed the oil bottle was running low so decanted a load to fill it up.
Dinner 99% ready, grabbed the plates and knocked the oil bottle, which decided to tumble onto the floor, shatter and spew a litre of oil all over the floor
Next 15 mins were spent cursing as I mopped up the broken glass and oil

Re: What have you done today thread?
Did my first decent ski tour today. Really didn't expect to get far but I did more than I thought I would!! Stopped for a while with some friends to have sandwiches and chat, then they walked to another bit of resort (they were all on foot, I was on skis!) and I toured up a little bit further to get a half decent ski back down.
Blooming lovely it was
Then I cooked the Char Sui marinaded Pork and had that on a chow mein. Feeling a bit as if I might go to sleep very soon!! LOL

Re: What have you done today thread?
Have much sympathy - I only knocked over 2 tablespoons of soy sauce in a little plastic measure! But DAMN it goes EVERYWHERE!!!! Up the cooker, onto the shelves in the cupboard, all over the floor!!!Silly Car wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 6:37 pm Pottered around, bit of grocery shopping, played with dog, made dessert of dinner (milky bar cheesecake) and then prepared the main event (roast chicken with all the trimmings), noticed the oil bottle was running low so decanted a load to fill it up.
