Things I'd like to see.
When you click a link in a thread, could you make it so it opens a new tab? I'm forever opening links and shutting the tab only to find i've shut the forum down.
Could you merge the owners projects, owners bikes, updates and motorbike chat. Don't see the need to have them seperate, it just means more navigating about for threads on the same subject?

OK, extension found, enabled and configured.
Links now open in a new window.
I do have an option to enable or disable in different ways so users can switch it on/off within their control panel. However, i think it's a good feature so have left it on.

Re: Things I'd like to see.
My default page is the one showing new posts. Very useful feature.
But can be improved.
It shows new posts from all forums. I'd prefer it if we could subscribe or unsubscribe forums as we choose.
It's not too bad now, but once TRC closes, it will be annoying.
Just an idea

Now that is something I think may be beyond our skills and developers, but, it's something that's still can be looked into.Yorick wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:00 pm My default page is the one showing new posts. Very useful feature.

So you want your new posts to only show ones specifically in the areas to which you're subscribed?
I wasn't aware you can do that on TRC but if you can then it's the only forum on the planet I've ever used that you can.

2. Shame. I really cant see the point of spreading bike content across two forums as it make sit clunky to follow topics? Less is always more, but it's your forum...

On TRC I use "settings" to only show the threads that I have replied to.weeksy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:09 pmNow that is something I think may be beyond our skills and developers, but, it's something that's still can be looked into.Yorick wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:00 pm My default page is the one showing new posts. And "My Forum" to show stuff, only from the forums I'm subscribed to.

Because motorbike chat is chatty stuff, like say "what bike next" " what helmet" or "should I buy xyz"Taipan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:36 pm1. Thanksweeksy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 7:22 pm1. Projects is, as it says, I've bought a new bike, this is it, this is what I'm doing with it.

Re: Things I'd like to see.
on TRC I only use the my forum option to limit what I see to my subscribed forums. Only downside i can see is you miss the stickys? I don't like, or can be bothered, navigating multiple forums to read the content i'm interested in.

Re: Things I'd like to see.
Nah, can't follow that at all. It's just more keystrokes to read bike stuff, but as I say, it's your forum...weeksy wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 8:42 pmBecause motorbike chat is chatty stuff, like say "what bike next" " what helmet" or "should I buy xyz"

Put a poll up, if people agree with you, that's fine.
If not, then it stays

Re: Things I'd like to see.
I'm not seeing anything within the customisation database that's remotely similar to the
"My Forum" or even a customised forum setting etc.
However, you do have the option at the bottom of a forum here
subscribe by Steve Weeks, on Flickr
which may give you the options you want/need ?

No, because it's already there
Bottom right corner 'arrow' 'top'
Well, mostly... it takes you to the top of the page, not to the 1st post... Hmmm

The two interlocked speech bubble shapes to the left of the thread title will take you to the first unread post. Doesn't open in a new tab nor window though.

Something similar on UKGSeR
"Get latest posts" button gives you:
Latest unread posts
Latest posts including those in Politics
All posts in the last day
All posts in the last two days
Latest posts excluding those in beakchat (Beakchat and bollocks(the virtual pub) allows for much less moderation and much more swearing so is an opt-in)
My posts
My threads
Mark all posts as read.
I tend to just use All posts in the last day which does just that and will give you a line with those that haven't been updated since your last visit after that.
Works very well.
OH - and sorting it so going back a page after posting takes you to the main list in the same way as if you haven't rather than taking three swipes/backspace.
