Bit blowy here... clear blue skies... clouds over the mountains 30 miles away to the North & the snow is falling here... or rather it's blowing past here on it's way somewhere else to the South.

BBC local weather predicting snowmageddon this weekend, FFS, it’ll be a wee bit colder and damper than usual.

There must have been more than 6 feet of snow in the Highlands to cause 20 vehicles to be trapped near Ullapool then.

Re: Obligatory snow thread
There's certainly been a lot of snow in Scotland.
Apparently Glencoe (and, I think, the Cairngorms) reckon it's the best ski season they've never had!
Doesn't help that I'm driving past the centre every week...although my ski boots are still in a chalet in Morzine!

Re: Obligatory snow thread
I can probably get them collected and posted! But it might be worse having them there if the lifts aren't working!!Kneerly Down wrote: ↑Sat Feb 06, 2021 7:08 am There's certainly been a lot of snow in Scotland.

Apparently Essex is going to cop it big style. I'd go out and kick the shit out of it, but someone might think i'm enjoying it!

Re: Obligatory snow thread
Just after 10 am. A light dusting of snow here in NE Essex.
The forecast was for heavy snow starting at about midnight. I looked out of the window at about 5 am and there was nothing, just a little rain.

Re: Obligatory snow thread
Only had a very light sprinkle of snow at about 10.30 this morning here in Chichester. Currently 3C and bright and sunny so will be out on the MTB on Salterns Way at middday(ish). With 25 knots NNE the first leg will be easy with the wind behind me, but the return leg will be 'interesting'!
(Will only go the Marina and back or maybe a bit further).

Snow hard but not settling at street levels but the Downs are picking up a coating, Mrs M is out cycling in this.........I think she’s beating a hasty retreat to home.

Scotland, between Inverness and Ullapool.
We've had a bit of snow this morning, that light powdery stuff that looks like little polystyrene balls. Nothing worth taking a picture of though
