Titanium brake caliper mounting bolts

Post by Skub »

M10 x 75 x 1.25

Four bolts,drilled for wirelocking.

These will cost you anywhere between £70 - £90.

I bought them used for £20,but they are too long. (poor obs)

If anyone wants them for twenty quid,I'll post them off.

I took one look and thought "Caliper bolts, fuck off, they're way too long".

Then I remembered that modern bikes have radially mounted calipers. I've never had a bike with radially mounted caliper's!

Would these see you right?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Radial-Brake ... SwFNZWyYFp

I know they normally used to space the calipers out for bigger discs, but no reason why they couldn't go between bolt and caliper.

If not, or you don't fancy them, they ( or someone with a lathe) would sort it for Weeksy for a fiver ( well, yeah more accurately, £8 by the time you've added postage :) )

Turning Titanium is a nightmare. It's tough, gummy and has a habit of either burning up your tools or setting fire to the shed (or both).

Yeah they'd work, but not for me. I like things like this exactly as they should be. So I'm a no.

I understand. I thought about several solutions myself, but I knew it would annoy me every time I looked at it!
