Not the worst power valve I've ever seen, but certainly not the nicest either, it'd look better with a TZ seat and painted white with red stripe

Maybe it reminds me of the bikes I grew up looking at as a pre-teenager?.... Don't think I'd want to pay £3.5k for it though.

I had a H2 b I think it was and spent a fortune on it and eventually let it go, the pipes are 3k ish for a good set (when and if you can find any) Petrol cap (common to the Z1 over £100) much better off buying one thats been done.

I don't like the tank, looks like someone's done a (very neat) cut and shut job on an old steel tank. Chopped off the rear quarters then welded them back on the other side (inside out).

I wonder if you could tuck your right knee into that cutout, without setting your boot on fire on the exhaust.

I think it’ll help prevent brake fade about as much as farting helps to drown out thunder.

Nah, the SS and the Monster have totally different frames/swingarms.

I think the Monster frame is more similar to the 851/888 frames.

The frames are both made from bits of straight tube welded welded into triangular shapes. I think most people couldn't tell the difference - including me, and I own a Monster

The rear suspension is very very different between the Monster and the SS. The SS is a driect link between the frame and swingarm, the Monster has a kind of rising rate linkage with a ride height adjuster.

The frames are very different if you look carefully. It's much much easier to change the belts on an SS.

Early Monster frames are closer to 851 frames than 900AS frames, I think the Monster frame is the same as the ST2, dunno why they bothered though, still got a dumper truck engine coupled to a tractor gearbox.
