because its 11-28 rather than 11-34, will it not need a longer chain or the Rear Derailleur adjusting??? ive not really got a great understanding of them yet.

28-34 I'd think you'll be ok. It's possible you may need a link but I'd say 80% odds you won't.

Put bike in big ring front and back, take a pic of where your mech hangs to.

Have they put a chain on that’s to small for the cassette?

No, that's right for the size you have. But you want to go 6 teeth bigger

You currently have a 28 tooth cassette, the chain is the correct length for that.

If you wanted a 34, your chain is too short for that currently.

The one on my bike is Shimano HG700 11-34, the one that comes with the wahoo from Sigma sports is 11-28

not at all mate, my lad was just warming up for his Zwift race, i was pit-crew. Sadly he got a DQ due to being too light. Zwift isn't helpful at times with small strong kids. So we've stuck another 10kg on him.

I read it as being the other way around as well, glad you're sorted now though

Right, after selling my elite direto a while back I’m now looking at getting a new direct drive trainer and signing back up to zwift. Because I’m quickly becoming permanently attached to the sofa!!

Obviously loads are thinking the same though, stock is low or non existent for some of the trainers?

Going to do some reading up, so far a Tacx flux s or elite zumo is what i’m looking at? Any with experience of these?

I've got a Tacx Flux. Don't know if it's the S model but it looks very similar. A good, substantial piece of hardware. It's heavy and bulky and not suited to being moved around a lot, especially if there is a bike attached. It's not collapsible and is not easy to store away. It does split into two pieces which helps but both are still quite bulky.

I only use it on Zwift and it feels pretty realistic and is quick to change with gradients from the program. The bike I use on the trainer has done maybe 100 dry miles outside and the running gear is in good condition. Despite this, getting the shifting spot on with the equally new cassette on the turbo is a PITA, mainly because you're on hands and knees trying to get to the barrel adjuster. I'm not much good with electronics and the Flux pairs easily with Zwift on my iPad. I've also got a Garmin cadence sensor on my crank and it seems pretty accurate on Zwift too.

How did he do with the extra weight 😬
