Halfords is a no-go really as I need home delivery, they don't seem to do it for those.
Probably the winner so far, and closest to my spec, is one of these Teng
I have two of the advanced tool sets, advanced screwdriver set and rachet spanner sets, they're all brilliant. Strange Halfords don't do home delivery for the tool sets? weight maybe? they are a bit chunky.

I've had a Halfords 200 piece set for 20 years, was using it almost daily as a service engineer on construction plant at one stage so it's had plenty of abuse. Broke a couple of the 3/8" drive torx bits over the years, took them into a Halfords store after a few years and they robbed a kit on the shelf to replace them immediately. Also stripped a 1/4" ratchet early on, again it was replaced without question. Nothing else has broken, even when using a combination spanner with the ring over the jaws of another combination spanner to double the length for leverage on especially tight bolts. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them ...
