I asked my mate in Honda R&D (yeah I really have a mate who works for Honda R&D in Germany).

He says..."someone trying to "visualise" the original concept"

If it were a prototype it wouldn't look anywhere near as finished. Prototypes look like proper lash ups.

Styling exercise maybe...but doesn't seem likely?

Honda don't do lashups.

They do, everyone does. You just don't see them in public.

They look like proper shit heaps cause they're only ever intended to be seen and used internally.

Ok, not as interesting as some, but an 'is it cos I is black' edition of the CB1000R

Although I reckon it should be called the CB1000$$

It's blacker than Asian Boss. Black forks, black exhaust, black paint, it's even powered by a quantum singularity.

Nice but swingarm is a bit long and I'm not keen on the USD forks, I prefer Ian Feeley's bike

I went there to look at a car once, Merc CLC iirc, but he didn't offer me enough for the beemer, had a few bikes in then, mainly 70/80's stuff, nothing quite so exotic as a Desmosedici.

Sheffield must be the Ducati capital of the UK, what with those, all the ones at 'The Bike Specialists' and SMC the official local Ducati stealership.

I rather like that.

But I'm wondering if the brake reservoir's going to whack the fairing on full right lock?

I like, definitely unusual.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

It put me in mind of one of these, which I suspect it took its styling cues from?
