Re: Paton
I think the thread was in the old place.
I like it quite a lot. I already have an old 650 twin with clipons though

Re: Paton
Krazy Horse sell them. They look cracking in the flesh...and then you look under the faring and it kinda ruins it a bit as it is all ER6 under there.

Re: Paton
No, but then ER6's aren't £18k for a 2014 with 3k miles on or £40k new for a special edition.

Re: Paton
Surely too early to say isn't it. The Supertwins are all 100bhp+ so not a huge amount of stock ER/SV going on. The RS will be closer as standard to the BHP needed but I guess it's how much further you can go with it. Could well be the bike to have though?

Re: Paton
Well the Aprilia is 100bhp out of the box compared to 72bhp ish for the Kawasaki, so I'd be really surprised the Aprilia will be out-done by a more than decade old motor..
If I was Mr Paton, I'd be looking at the Aprilia Lump for my little exotic too...

Re: Paton
To me it's special because of the frame, wheels, handling, weight and the looks - the bhp is probably only something that matters if you're on a start line, or really into Top Trumps.
The price for the full fat version is a bit of a killer though because for that money there is a lot of choice for a fancy road bike. The lower priced Paton doesn't look as good as the more exotic one and it's still big money, instead of paying £18k for the one linked to above I'd have an MV Dragster all day long.
But, as a poster bike for when you win the lottery the one in my opening post would probably find it's way into my garage.
