There's a tonne of work gone into it though. From the swingarm to the calipers, the the exhaust, the bodywork

I don't deny that, it just looks wrong to my eye. If it's a drag bike then the brakes are way too big, if it's a track bike then the swinging arm is too long, and there's no lights so it can't be a road bike.

That's all moot anyway, it must be art as there's no drive chain.

I think its real smoke actually :D

I have no idea what this bike is referencing, so it just looks weird to me.

I remember the original bike from reading Performance Bikes yonks ago.
In it's day it was up there with the best kit.
That contraption is nowt like it.

It's possible that the large brakes on a drag bike are a result of the 1/8th mile sprint length being in more restricted areas.
Bit like some drag cars competing at the run what you brung at Kirkbride airfield. Some cars rock up with parachutes but don't need em. At other tracks they obviously do.

The Muricans are big on all that quarter mile style. It makes my eyes water a little to see a brand new top sportsbike like a 10R lowered and stretched, but hey horses for courses and all that.
