Met an friend out walking her dog the other week. She looked at me and said despairingly, 'I'm even bored of WALKING, for fucks sake!'

I can see her point. We went out for 4 hours the other weekend, over the local fields and woods. It pissed down for the last hour, it was cold and muddy, but fuck it, something to break the day up. We got in, had a cuppa and then said, 'What now?'

A couple of hours later the dog was on the lead having yet another walk. :o

I have a smooth coated Lurcher. There isn't a force great enough on the planet that will make him go out for a walk in the rain and with all the rain we have been getting here, I am starting to think I should be building an ark.

Floods, plague.... what's next... locusts?

I have a twat of a Border Collie. If I say either 'Lead' or 'Walk' it sends her into fits of joy that involves barking, jumping, tail chasing, running to the door and back God's know what. She gets walked twice a day, sometimes more, so it ain't as if she's been stuck in for weeks on end.

Like I say: twat of a dog.

Love her to bits, though. She's helped me keep what little sanity I have left during this last year.

As long as its not raining, my dog is much the same. If he knows its raining, a thousand horses wouldn't drag him outside. Cold he is fine with, dark he loves, snow is acceptable (fun even), rain... fuck off. lol

And for comparison, a Vampire Bat. Asleep after a long fly.

My pal died yesterday and I want to fly his wife and kids over here for a holiday.

When's that likely to be possible?

In all seriousness, not 'til the summer at least and that's notwithstanding any travel restrictions put in place by the Spanish.

We're all being encouraged to stand beside our neighbours every week again. I look forward to seeing my 90 year old neighbour out on her frozen doorstep.

Fucking load of old shite. Best of luck to anyone that wants to stand outside, banging pots and pans like a demented window licker, but they can fuck off if the think they are shaming me into it, like some tried last time.

So instead, I'm going to have a wank instead, indoors, in the warm :obscene-birdiedoublered:

I'm gonna have a wank on the doorstep. That'll stop this clapping malarkey :banana-dance:
