Mine is quite short, but one day I'll buy a 690smcr.
The 2nd is a 1960s MV or Ducati. Ideally a 350 scrambler
There's nothing else that jumps out at me, I've had a fair few bikes and ticked most of the boxes I had.

I wouldn't mind a Speed Twin and I've never owned a KTM so both are on my list of "one day I'll buy...."

Hmmm, not really, last two bikes I lusted after were the 1998 R1 (which I've owned) and the 2004 Husqvarna SMR630 - which I can't be hassled with the effort of owning these days, though I suppose I've got a garage full of "one day" bikes, so maybe I've already done it.

I've wanted a Honda SP1/SP2 for ages and more recently a motocross type bike, not really sure why!
Chances are I'll never own either (the hondas are silly expensive now), and will probably get another KTM instead - a nice 690/890 duke r perhaps.

Yeah.
I've been gobbing off for years about owning an old triple and been hoping they'll get cheaper,at least temporarily,so I can buy one!

Yup. A garage!! So I can put my list of 'one day I'll . .' in!!
But to buy -
Brutale 1000RR - damn it looks good!!
916 SPS (Always loved these but not sure I'll ever be able to reach the bars again, wasn't easy when I rode my mate's after getting off the Blackbird!!!)
A classic/vintage - I don't know enough to know which/what but I do so love the look of proper old fashioned bikes. The ones that were old when I started, not looking back 30 years old!!
KTM 390 Duke - again
TL1000s - again

I fancy something with fancy gold suspension, honking great brakes and an exposed frame. Previously it was a Speed Triple R, for a while I've quite liked the 1290 KTM.
I haven't been riding for any other reason than commuting for a long time and TBH I'm a bit "meh" about bikes a lot of the time. I was hoping doing some track days and getting out on the Bonneville in 2020 would change that....but you know how that went. Money wise I could buy those bikes from a dealer tomorrow but it would be a massive waste!
I really really like the electric Energica Eva I posted the other day, that would be the ideal fun bike for me I reckon. If I actually get back into the habit of riding for fun I might even get one. Then again I might just keep the £1500 CBR I don't mind crashing

A work colleague had always wanted one, he's a very big lad. He found one in good nick and bought his dream, apparently on the ride home he had tears rolling down his cheeks as the traffic was bad and the combo of riding position and the clutch were incredibly painful for his 50 year old frame.
He still has it as his Sunday toy.

I'll never be able to afford a proper old one, so I might buy a Z900RS one day. I've had a few old kwaks and a ZRX which was disappointing but something about the brown/orange scheme speaks to me. And the reviews have been positive. I might be getting old...

I wouldn't want to be stuck in traffic at all!! I rode one briefly on some back lanes (it's owner wsa 'testing' the blackbird to see if he could do anything with the suspension!). It was like riding a five bar gate and the bars were on the lowest bar!!!! But I really wished I'd had the chance to ride it later when I had more experience - was too nervous to really enjoy it back then!!MingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 3:48 pmA work colleague had always wanted one, he's a very big lad. It's owner only rode it in the dry and basically stripped it completely and rebuilt after each ride! He then sold it to a friend when the 1098s came out and he wanted to buy one. A few years later he bought back the 916SPS! His mate had ridden it a bit but was too scared of breaking it I think - it had lived in his sitting room!! LOL
Still want one!

2 that I've already ticked off the list are the RVG VJ22, I needed to lose about 50% of my bodyweight to fit on it properly but it was a propper giggle to own.
the other was the ZXR750, I wanted a H1 but landed up with a really really clean J1. it was a stunning bike to ride, luvved it and I only got rid to buy my first Tuono.
the current 'one day' bike is a first shape tuono factory racing

Like the SkyMarshall, I'd like a Diavel, preferably a fancy-arse one.

A Kawasaki
I've been riding bikes for about 40 years and and have owned some fairly exotic makes but I've never owned a Kawasaki, in fact I'm struggling to remember if I've ever even ridden one.
I've never owned a BMW or a Harley either and I've no desire to.

It’s just right isn’t it?
There’s a great book called Daisy’s Diaries (actually a series of 3 books now) written by Graham Ham who rode the Triumph Landmark Challenge (basically a treasure hunt across the length and breadth of the UK) on a 1948 sprung hub model- definitely worth a read and made me realise old classics are best when ridden
