Got back from my nine-day (ten if you count the UK leg) trip to and around the Alps on the 390.

Genuinely had no idea how touring on the baby Duke would go, given I've always done that kind of thing on bigger bikes, but it was SO MUCH FUN.

Epic trip (with MAC and KillaHedgehog, plus a couple of non-VDers, if anybody remembers them).

Oh and it incorporated my first ever high-side. Leaving a car park 🤣 But still, I highsided in the Alps, technically 😆

Brilliant (except the high side!).

I've got a ferry to Spain to catch on Wednesday, on my massive black motorcycle with leg warmers and a forecast of 37c.

Pray for me!

Tell us more about the high-side, crasher!

First day (last Saturday) heading across France/Belgium/Germany, we saw highs of 42, and a consistent 40 degrees. It was mental. Stay hydrated!

I'm intending to do a mini trip report, including my ridiculous non-event highside 🤣 Let's see if I can be arsed tomorrow. I'm currently knackered AF...

Probs because I haven't been on Facebook for about six years, so he couldn't tag me in anything 🤣

Although during the course of the trip I've been bullied to reactivate my account so I can add to the communal photo album. So I may now reappear briefly...

Hearing the dog's tail thumping the wooden floor in the hallway at about 4am last night, obviously excited to see the Gremlinette who drove down overnight.

She went straight to bed after leaving a Whatsapp message explaining that she didn't want to wake us by bringing her suitcase in so could we get it out of the car and bring it up. She's very crafty at getting you do do stuff and making it seem like she's the one doing you a favour...
