maybe like with @Dodgy69 that will come when you have more time and freedom. Once you have nothing you HAVE to do, maybe a trip to the coast on a motorbike will be an excellent little treat.
Indeed, but like dodgy on his monkey, I'd probably find scoot perfect for such a bimble!
Me too- and on that subect, you Sir, and that Skubster reprobate may jointly consider yourselves largely responsible for my selection of what was my most recent 2-wheeler purchase - 6 months or so back I became the err, proud-ish  owner of a 14 YO but very lightly used (11k total miles) and well cared for SH300i

Isabella (my OH) was genuinely a little disgusted by my purchase, still disowns me when I'm out on it and calls it "the moped" but I love it.
I use it pretty much every day that it isn't pissing down for nipping to the gym and back or into town and I have to say , for what I've been using it for, I struggle to think of anything I'd prefer- I just jump on and go, get 120ish MPG, an easy 70-80MPH cruising (and 90+MPH if/when you want it 8-) )

Here is the little minx resting after a faster , greener, and more pleasurable commute than I suspect most of the other people on the road have had :D

I thought you already had the Italian one?

Yeah, but a 2-stroke Dragster is a completely different proposition to something like this - just isn't really practical as a utility sort of thing IMO, especially mine, a completely original one with only approx 1k miles on from new- an SH300 knocks it for six in every aspect apart from coolness and desirability, and (I hope?) isn't anything like as much of a scrote-magnet.
I did think about a brand new 200 4-stroke Dragster as they really haven't sold at all well , I think they look cool, and they are knocking them out for just £3.5k OTR- cheap IMO but not a lot better than it's 26 year older smoker one in terms of practically though, I reckon it's probably slower than an SH300, and well, I would be suprised if it's a "finished" and reliable/durable as an SH300.
And the icing on the cake for this purchase was it was 5 miles down the road, and only cost me just north of £1k.

I guess the bit that surprised me the most about it is how (relatively speaking) fast it is considering how relatively little HP (30 maybe) it has - the likes of Enfield Bullets, Himmys, Superdreams, CB250RS and probably even old air-cooled RD and GT250s wouldn't stand a chance in a straight line I reckon.
Brakes are good too, and for a scoot with all the weight at the back handling not too bad as it's got 16" wheels, the only really shit bit of it (image aside of course, dependant on your view :D ) are the rear shocks, they are shite IMO- I feel a top-of-the-range YSS purchase coming on....

Anyway, I'm probably sounding like a bit of a wanky train-spotter-Jeremy Vine listener-type now so I'll stop before I totally destroy any ounce of coolness I may (or may not) have ever had
