The simple answer is, we've not been told yet. I'm hoping we find out soon but we as the general public haven't got that information.
I'm being very strict and cautious personally but I've got a few things in the coming weeks that mean I'll be in contact with others and it troubles me.
I went to my private hospital this morning and there was no hand cleaner as I walked in. And we all shared the same pen to sign the paperwork (eek).
I did see a few bottles after doors etc, but were hard to see. But the doctors and nurses didn't seem too perturbed.
But we only have one covid case in hospital now. That's good, but we shouldn't get complacent.
But I walked out happy as me bollox are OK No photos

I'm honestly not seeing it and even if some are dropping the ball I certainly don't think it's of the numbers that are now being seen infected. It's just too many for it to be purely down to rule breaking

Well if the numbers are to be believes we're outstripping what happened in April, so either everyone is as lax as they were back then or the new strain is more infectious? Or somewhere in the middle.

Here is sleepy West Berkshire our daily count of positive tests has gone ballistic over the last few weeks.

NB figures for the Christmas period (national) are not perfect, so that might account for the variation over the last few days.
As for social distancing, it is being taken seriously (except some of Tesco's delightful customers).

It would seem a fair slice of the population have decided the restrictions are more of a ballache than the chances of catching the pox,so they are increasingly deciding to do as they please. If enough people disobey a law,the law becomes irrelevant and we are now close to that scenario.

I can't, I don't go anywhere. When passing supermarket that was the first time I've been outside the village in a month. (Apart from cycling)

Well, lockdown ended Dec 4th didn't it? So people listed here for the 7th would presumably have been tested on the 6th, so exposed a day or to - at least - before for incubation.

First go around early in the year wasn't too bad, then it mutated & came back a few months later & wiped out millions. The people who got it during the first wave didn't have any problems with the later wave.
It appears our Governor Il Douche Nero Newsolini is absolutely bloody clueless. Calizuela is locked down with surging cases, Florida is open for biz & isn't having a surge.

Forgot to mention that some of the initial reasons she gave for the County & State not reporting recovery numbers included they were "not important" *insignificant" "utterly meaningless* & even "have no bearing on the number of people who are infected":... which is obviously total bollocks & she got called out for it.
She even got rather condescending & said "You don't know what you are talking about, we have statistics, what do you have?" when people were specifically asking her for the fucking stats.
We have sort of been told why the new strain is spreading, this new strain seems to be passed easily amongst teenagers so it would seem likely that they got it at school and brought it home, plus the fact that the youth have not social distanced as much as adults and when they weren’t getting it, it didn’t really matter.

Based upon a recent conversation I don't know the answer. This person has been 100% compliant yet still tested positive. It's a bit of a mystery.
I think that one of the reasons why reported infections are increasing is because the PCR test is so sensitive that it also detects dead virus debris. So the more people who have successfully fought off the virus are tested the more positive tests are reported.

US media is making a big deal out of this particular strain from the UK.. & then a few days ago mentioned they have also found at least 2 dozen different strains in the US & aren't concerned about those at all...
