What a lap from Ai Ogura. He's a real superstar in the making. There was a little Japanese girl in the pits holding a sign that said 'The only AI we trust is #79'.

Pretty much spot on if you ask me.

Nice one, Pecco. Let's hope this is the start of a resurgence. And what a fabulous track Brno is; fast, flowing, grippy and the riders love it.

I couldn't believe that :o I didn't see why, only saw a clip on FB but WTAF ??? I've seen a bit of stroppiness when they can't get back on the bike, but I don't think I've ever seen a rider slap (or anything else physical) a marshall

I've just watched the video.

He runs up and shoves the marshal away on his face, then seconds later gives him a slap.

Totally unacceptable imho, I'd dock him 100 points.

Bez seems determined to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

They released the footage from the onboard camera. When the Marshal attempts to lift the bike something happens and causes the bike to go full throttle, whether it was from him accidentally pulling on the throttle or possibly a fault within the bike and the reason I say that is immediately the marshal releases the bike and it continues to rev, you clearly hear the marshal saying “I only lifted the bike” or something along those lines.

Bez probably heard it revving as he’s ran towards the bike.

With all that being said there is zero excuse for slapping or touching a marshal in any way shape or form that could be deemed as physical. The punishment is justified.

Just seen a video of Bez apologising to the marshal, giving him his gloves I believe and a big hug. All good!

Don't forget that Bez 'married' his RS-GP earlier in the year and would have been horrified to see another man revving the nuts off his 'wife'... :D

The Race have given their take on Marco Bezzecchi's shenanigans, and I think it's the most reasoned assessment I've heard so far:

It may be reasoned, but I can't believe the lack of emotion that seems to be being shown (anger, annoyance, anything really) that a rider hit a marshall. HIT. A. Marshall.

I get the adrenaline, just crashed etc etc etc yadda yadda yadda - but the guys in orange are there for the riders. WTAF !!

It was emotion that got Marco into this mess originally. I'd say that trying to remove the emotion and calm everyone down is the right way to go. I'd be calling for less emotion and more cool heads personally.
