Day 1 was steady. 5 hours on forest trails.
SWM500 was ok but not a patch on the Gasgas

June 2026

3 nights in posh hotel

Then 4 nights in posher hotel hosting 3 days at Portimoa

Then drive up coast for 2 day enduro adventure with 3 nights 5* hotel

Then back to Portimao for another 3 days on track. Again 4 nights in 5* hotel

17 days away and cost is a little frightening

But only same as a month take home pay when I was coining it in

Woo hoo !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fair play to you, think all this would knacker me out. 200 miles on the MT yesterday and I was fcuked when I got home, 60 in November.

I like the idea of track and enduro combi, maybe 2 days each with a few in-between.

Found a great way to avoid the revvers and twats playing loud music.

Playing my Sony noise cancelling headphones all day, sat in pitlane.

My music and only hear the screaming engines on the straight

Fark. Third red flag and only 11:05
First lap of the session.

At least half the sessions yesterday were red flagged

NoLimits are usually ok.
But Focused Events last weekend was much better

Some dozey bint had their baby sat on the track wall between pit wall fence gaps

I'm getting into a pattern now.
I try and go out with lads my speed.
But I'm on cold tyres so they all pass me and pull away first lap.

Then I try to get them back

Makes me giggle. I keep going as long as they're someone within striking distance.
I can do 6 or 7 laps at a push.
Happy to pull in after 5 if quiet on track and I've had fun.

I loved Craig Jones corner and Portimao corner and gained on folk through there.

Had time to glance at speedo and 2 or 3 times was showing 100+ in the dip.
Too many 98ish speeds.

But my last session at 3:20 I was showing 103 and heard my knee go down.

That was time to pull in and park the bike

I was there at Brands when Craig Jones crashed so that corner is a bit of a nice reminder
