Yep, the only thing I miss is going to gigs and festivals.

Certainly not missing human contact although I have been at work which has gone absolutely mental since summer.

They just fucked up here in the middle of all the fear mongering by accidentally revealing that recovery numbers are outstripping infection numbers.
Two weeks ago:
1 in 80 infected which gave us 493,750 active cases of which 125,000 were in LA County...although the only number they usually report is the cumulative total since it started (a little over 2million for Calizuela)
Today:
1 in 95 infected, which gives us 417,790 active cases, of which 105,263 are in LA County

If you want to pick yourself up, sign up to a “rejoin the EU” forum or FB group. Hours of endless fun prodding the “woe is me, they’ve stolen my future” types.

In no time at all you’ll be back to robbing grannies of their pensions and stealing the change from homeless people.

Not really sure what this is supposed to prove.

More people have recovered than are being infected? Thats what they want isn't it? It means the prevention methods are working.

More people are recovering than are dying? Again that's what you want.

Proof that lockdown isn't working, I'm sure. Infection is going down so clearly prevention doesn't work.

Its like those people who complain variable speed limits don't work cause the traffic is quieter when they're on :D

It isn't, unless you need an ambulance or a ventilator. :D

It's been OK in all reality, as i haven't had to make too many changes to my life. I live a in a remote area, 15 minutes drive from the nearest shop/town. We are allowed to travel freely within our own province , so I can go out for a ride or drive whenever I want. I can still stop somewhere for a pint/coffee or go for a meal if I want to, but in reality I don't stop anywhere very often presently. Only shop every 10 days or so for fresh stuff like fruit, veg, bread and milk.

The friends I have made here live in another province, so we cannot meet up with them just yet. The police do lots of spot checks on cars and bikes close to the province border with another, and they love enforcing the rules and dish out fines.

Whatever, this is my way of avoiding Covid, and yes, I do know that I am lucky that I am able to do that when other are confined to home.

Were just getting on with it now we all know the rules and bar closing times and the general curfew times.

Folk here are a tactile bunch and you always kiss the opposite sex on both cheeks and a warm handshake for pals. Now it's normal to just bump fits and maybe a Status Quo dance style smacking of elbows if you are feeling silly.

Yes, that's exactly what you want.. however...
Calizuela doesn't report recovery numbers* because "Republicans will exploit the numbers to downplay Covid".. That's a quote from someone who is basically in charge of the infectious disease dept at LA County hospitals. She beat about the bush & refused to say why recovery numbers weren't being reported until she basically talked herself into a corner.

*& the media refuse to ask the question or even mention recovery numbers on the news etc, despite countless people asking for the recovery numbers on the media's twitter & FB etc.

Yeah, Democrats are concerned the Republicans will politicize the numbers, so they decided to politicize the numbers..

How are all these people catching covid. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The majority are all social distancing and wearing masks. Must be spreading a new way. 😷

Based upon a recent conversation I don't know the answer. This person has been 100% compliant yet still tested positive. It's a bit of a mystery.

Masks are only (very roughly) about 50% effective (75% if you're both wearing them).

Viruses can persist on door handles and the like for ages. Or maybe on stuff in shops people pick up and put back...that's why the wash your hands mantra gets repeated so often.
