So: Where is the line? What is the minimum age to rock the full ZZ Top look? Your public needs to know.
Perhaps she's referring to the age where a full beard just isn't a full beard. Just a few stray facial hairs and lots of barren desert.

TBF, I'm not a fan of beards at all, any age. But I see some of the younger physios at the centre and think they've probably got lovely faces but you don't get to see

My wife says beards age people, so she isn't a fan of men with them either. I work with a guy whom I've never known to not have a beard until he came into a meeting clean-shaven recently. I had agreed with my wife then as he looked about 20 years younger!

Shaving off my beard shaves about 15 years off my perceived age.
But having sent 15 years + with people thinking that I'm significantlt younger than I am, I'm not too fussed !

Marriage had a similar effect on me. When I was married people assumed I was 7 years older my actual age. Within a year of giving her the boot people were assuming I was 7 years younger than my actual age.

Only had a beard once. I was about 40, started growing one and it was grey. Not the look I wanted so it didn't stay.

I'm not sure why but it just sounds like something that would get me arrested for saying out loud.

 yeah, that's just wrong!!
I've had a full beard most of my life. I started having dermal reactions to shaving creams. Mug soaps didn't get the same reaction, but fuckit, I can't be arsed anymore. I let a friend's wife give me a haircut and shave right about the time we graduated from vet school. I didn't know who the fuck was in the mirror looking back at me. Trims have it going from longish stubble and those only happen after I start looking like I just showed up after a long time at sea.
