The waterproofs came out on a fair few occasions, but the most memorable aspect of the weather was the ferocity of the wind at times, with one of the worst being as we were crossing the Pont de Normandie bridge into Honfleur - I’ve been across the Millau bridge numerous times and been a bit sort of meh about it, but it was the first time for this one, and for me, it was honestly one of those exciting and very much life-affirming times where you think this might be the day I die...
This is it- for anyone who’s not already aware of it, it’s over 2km long and apparantley has a navigational clearance of 52-56 metres, which believe me seems F. high when the wind is trying to remove you from your bike and you have cars all around you being blown about too!

Anyway, suffice to say, we made it across and neither of us died, it was genuinely one of the most exciting/scary things I’ve ever done though
We used the Eurotunnel to get there and back as usual, and this time got to share a carriage with a Scottish chapter of the GS clan,
I still don’t get the whole GS lifestyle - by that I mean all buy the same bike, and BMW branded helmets, jackets, suitcases etc etc but each to their own eh- all seemed nice blokes with cracking senses of humour

As for our big red bike, I’ve got nothing much to say about it that I haven’t already, probably on more than one ocassion, it was faultless and is real fun to ride even fully loaded we both love it, albeit my arse seemed to suffer more on this trip than it ever has before, and is still a bit achy now so before the next one, I think I’ll be getting the seats modded for more comfort.
Anyway, that’s it for now, when I get around to it I might also update my Bandit thread, as both Cadwell and Anglesey rounds have been and gone since I was last in there, and both were fairly eventful, but in the meantime, here’s some pics from this week’s trip
