Re: Great bike pictures and videos.
I have lit and smoked a fag on a Bantam while passing my mate on his fizzie.
I singed my eyebrows, a Zippo turns into a blowlamp above 40

A mate had a great idea!
Ever seen the huntn shootn fishn charcoal burner hand warmers?
Idea was, light it at home, rest in his lap, then warm hands every time he stopped at junctions.
Ever blown on burning embers with a steady 30 mph breeze ... ?

Excellent watch.
Better still for being narrated by Mr Gotell

Re: Great bike pictures and videos.
Looks fine to me.
(Try getting round that roundabout on the bike with a 20ft tow rope.
(I've towed another bike/scooter with my bike with something about that length).

Re: Great bike pictures and videos.
Be interesting to know how it was attached at the bike
IIRC advice was to go through between the foks, then up and wrapped around the bars once. Then the rider held the free end - but could let go if necessary!

I'm pretty sure the highway codes says that hazard lights should not be shown on a moving vehicle.

Re: Great bike pictures and videos.
My Bantam had 2 big lugs you could put a padlock through as a steering lock. Much stronger than the feeble locks on Japanese bikes. Why can't manufacturers do stuff like this.
(And before anyone jokes about the biggest deterrent being nobody wanting to steal a Bantam, well someone did. That's when the second deterrent came into play, it was a bastard to start so I found it abandoned in a hedge round the corner)

People don't buy replacement bikes if they can't be stolen.Ian wrote: Mon Jun 08, 2026 8:38 pm My Bantam had 2 big lugs you could put a padlock through as a steering lock. Much stronger than the feeble locks on Japanese bikes. Why can't manufacturers do stuff like this.
