I have just been put on these to sort out some nerve pain issues / sciatica .
One day in - they have got ride of the lower back pain so i can sleep.
But they have made me sleep most of the day , i have no energy walking the dog, my spatial awareness is bollocked.
And i am either hot as fuck or freeing cold.

Does anyone have any real world experience ? Obviously it’s back to the Dr tomorrow but would like some input

I'm on it as well at the moment for a trapped ulnar nerve.

Tbh, at first i didn't think it was doing much, but as the weeks have passed i think i is helping. I'm on a daily celocexib (or something) as well. My arm is hell in the hour or so right before i take the evening pair.

Haven't noticed any sensory deprivations.

I might be a bit more bloody minded at the moment, but i think that's just life....

My wife was on this medication and couldn't cope with feeling like a space cadet. I tried to get her to stay on them for a little longer but she went back to diclofenic and they're not so good either. I'll share this topic with her. It'd be great to get her pain under some control.

Diclofenac? I thought 'that looks familiar'.

Sure enuff it's what the gel is that they prescribe to treat sun damaged skin/actinic keratosis. I think it's a more potent brew than the likes of Voltarol. Haven't a clue why it would work on damaged skin though.

Anti inflammatory, pain relief and I suspect, acidic, like salicylic acid.

I cannot believe anyone taking it has a normal life. I have had morphine in the past, and this was significantly worse

I just googled it and as well as the above it actually kills precancerous cells but not healthy ones and limits the blood supply the ill-disciplined ones need...but it's a slow job. 3 months+. It's also dichlofenac sodium which may be a tad different.

The prescription gel stuff is stronger than Voltarol - it's 3% and may also contain hyaluronic acid.

I've been on it for a long while, for nearly 15 years, as an anti-anxiety, 75mg morning and evening.

I had problems when I accidentally doubled my dose because the GP changed pill size without warning me, noticing when I was driving in Basingstoke and all of a sudden I had no idea where I was, despite going there most weekends.

Other than that, no problems at all. On my dose I've never been spaced out.

So how did it go with the docs?

sounds like you have unwanted side effects, so try something else. Good Luck.
