Toss up for me between these two, depending upon how adventurous I was feeling on the day, wouldn't mind either- both would be fun
( I'd trust the Yam more though :) )

Is that a genuine piece of Mechano on the mudguard ?
Anyway , I've been looking at getting a Burgman. What I would like is a 400 with the power of a 650, or a 650 with the weight of a 400.

The last bike I used day to day was a 350LC, but that was in 1987.
So £4K for something that does a similar job, probably an SV650

I think some of you are taking the question a bit too literally

How about "what £4000 bike for the odd sunny ride when you feel like getting on a motorbike?"

But I'm a bit weird (so I'm told :D )

I keep looking at XB12s and every time I do the prices have gone up. Should have bought one ages ago.

IT's been in there since 2009 as that was the last time it went more than 10 yards under it's own power.

just for the shits and giggles, the engine will probably be a bitch to start and the brakes errm, well, slowing will need forward planning but it'd be a right laugh around the forest roads

As it changed from a daily ride to a "what do you fancy taking out on a sunny day once in a while" we'll go for this

Low mileage for the year and i loved the last one i had, even used it as a daily commuter for 3 years

The tube framed Buell's seem to be on the uppers, I think in 2045 the Tubes will be worth loads more that the later ones.

The S1 era stuff is before they went 'mainstream' innit.

Possibly the one bike I could buy which would be more hassle than the Bonnie. :D

Always ride with a mate riding behind with an intercom to let you know all the bits that have vibrated off ;)

My mate worked for a mag, he had an XB12S for the weekend, I turned up on my blade and we rode like utter dicks for 30mins, we stopped for fuel and I pointed out it looked like he'd got a rag stuck in the drive belt... it was the dive belt disintegrating. Stopped all the fun as we rode back to his like girls.

This was a brand new, Buell UK supplied bike with feck all miles on it.
