.95s I believe.

I mentioned in a mail to him also about sag, preload and rebound which he informed me should all be set to my weight too already, which is impressive and very clever.

I would think I'm heavier than yourself (@105kg) and was going to fit .95s that may change to 10s now

Sounds like a plan. From riding MTB a lot it's made me appreciate more than before how important spring rate is to a setup, even though on the MTB it's air based of course. But having it right makes a big difference, so for the price I felt it's worth doing.

Having the correct rate springs let's suspension work in the correct part of the damping stroke and can transform harsh suspension.

Obviously I've not changed my rebound ability which is still limited by the factory parts, which I have to admit, Colin did comment that to get the best out of it, I really ought to change at the time, but the cost was more than I had spare so I accepted the compromise of just springs and oil.

Pics are out of the 2021 XSR using the new MT-09 frame. Don't look that different imho...



It loses those plastic boxes on the frame near the headstock, but then it leaves you with loads of blank space instead.

Actually, looking at it again, it looks a bit 'fatter' than the earlier model, I think I might actually prefer the older one.

The fact you own it still troubles me but i had to come to terms with it I wanted the helmet since it was released, they just didn't have it when i thought it was there and i bought the NXR instead. The NXR will now become my track helmet.

Well the helmet is back in the box and winging it's way back to the retailer later today.

Tried and tried it on, but as you're pulling it on and off, it REALLY digs into your temples. I asked Mrs Weeksy to try and even with a smaller head she gets it too. Even now after 20 mins without it on, i can feel where it was digging in when putting on.

Sure, it's not often it needs to come on/off, but there's no point lobbing the best part of £500 at a helmet unless it's super plush is there, even if it is really really pretty.

I've still got the Shoei NXR which i was using as a comparison this morning and it's loads nicer to get on and off and at least as comfortable to actually wear... Just isn't quite a cool

I find it definitely scrapes along the side of my head as I put it on. The nose breath guard but is REALLY close to my hooter when I'm wearing it too.

That doesn't bother me though. The trade off is that it feels very secure and snug on my bonce. Not tight, just 'firm'.

I usually remove the nose bit on helmets as i've got a Pinlock on them anyway.
