I'd accidentally hit some option on the damn phone that blurred the bit around the edges.

Drove over to Palmdirt for shopping... Almost got me a hood ornament when some pilchard wearing a hoody decided to walk across the road without checking traffic as I turned right. Horn/tire screech as he pushed off the car with one hand on the hood & face planted himself in the gutter. Fucking plonker.

Driving today - well this morning. Went between rain and gurtly hooooge fluffy snowflakes depending on the powers that be and occasionally the altitude

I was doing a free shuttle bus in Peisey, the roads went from this to more compacted snow/ice to wet with a possibility of slippy tp slush - all sorts !!

First day of the year wearing shorts and a t-shirt, also no heating on tonight.

There is however, an 80kph wind. The wind hasn't stopped for about three weeks and is forecast well into next week. On top of that, Spain has apparently been the wettest country in Europe. When they give rainfall figures here it's in litres per square metre, some places, Seville for example, were over 1200 litres per square metre in January.

Eucharist at the church then home for lunch with daughter. Out to buy some boerewors from a SA shop in Erith, good price and got some rusks at the same time. Also a very good bottle of wine for a friend who I was visiting that afternoon. Then surprised my wife by collecting her from work for a change. Quiet drive home and quicker than the train! Cooked dinner and did some admin work. Have quite a lot of paper work to get sorted for tomorrow as well. Baked some flapjacks for my son, he loves them.

I suspect, like me, a large % of the western world would be tempted to upchuck at the sight and smell of it!

(The smell of poor quality, cheap, chemically 'smoked' bacon being fried that wafts around places in a morning actually does make me want to heave. But I love a bacon sarnie with good quality bacon and a decent bap. Best not mention what I think of cheap, 'industrial' sausages  ).
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.

Given that he fasts for 1 - 2 days before a challenge and restricts his intake to 1500 calories on a normal day he probably consumes less than the average joe on the street.

I watched a lot of his stuff.
Apparently he drinks 3 or 4 liters of water before each event to stretch his stomach.
