Co Durham.
We've had a couple of hours of blue skies and sunshine and a lot of the snow has thawed but it's now snowing heavily again. I have no intention of leaving the house today

Re: utterly random picture thread.
Some pics from my walk to 'lunch' yesterday. Light was really flat and it tried to snow a bit most of the time! But damn it's pretty. Wouldn't have done the walk without snowshoes. And, talked to a friend (from my first season, so he's been here forever!) and he agreed with my fears that it really isn't safe enough yet to ski, so touring is out and snow shoeing is the new snow 'sport'!! LOL
These were snow clouds coming in! It snowed most of the afternoon and evening and all night

I assume it's the dead black bird hanging from the gutter.
To give you a clue as to where to look it's near the centre of the picture.

Photographer Yui Mok;
"My best picture of the year was taken on 31 January 2020, when the union flag was lowered from its pole outside the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium, and removed to mark the UK formally leaving the European Union after 47 years of membership.
"I like the image for its powerful symbolism and historical significance - the photograph not only captures the lowering of a flag, but a picture of a divided nation mired in political turmoil and economic uncertainty."
