1 Bar is 1 atmosphere..14.7 lbs per square inch. No idea what that is in kilograms per cubic centimetre.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 7:14 pm Checked the tyres pressures on the car.
They were all at 2.0 bar, so set them to 2.7 bar (as per the sticker in the drivers door shut).
I have no idea what a bar is, BMW don't put PSI on the sticker, but the digital gauge changes on the button.
What have you done today thread?

On a typical day.
Bar is such a silly unit, but its the universal standard when talking about high pressures, probably 'cause its easier to say "500bar" than "7350psi".
It's all about the pascals anyway.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to the Doctor's this morning just before the 9.30 opening - need another 'sick note'.
Whilst waiting outside (doors open but lights not fully on!) a car pulled up, a guy leapt out of the driver side and rushed around. Then a guy in ski boots (and other relevant gear) levered himself out and walked to the door almost doubled over - left arm hanging a bit uselessly. Guess he's been out touring very early and crashed - kudos for being able to get himself back to resort and to the doc. Damn that must have been painful Looked much more comfortable when he came out with a sling on the arm. Dislocation I guess, probably!!
I went in and the Doc was ace (unexpectedly) and signed me off till end of March!! That's one less paperwork I have to do!!
Now about to do more mince pies to give out and then see the physio for the last apt before Chrimble!

Wasted many hours trying to get to work in Norwich but unable to do so due to flooding. Now on the train heading back home - should have stayed in bed!

At work, things keep breaking, FFS it’s Xmas eve! Just had kippers, poached eggs, sausages, toast, grilled tomatoes and cheese and onion croquettes for breakfast.
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"

One of my clients is on a skeleton staff this week and because there aren't enough people to do normal work the remaining ones are just looking for problems, they are going to get a good ignoring today.MingtheMerciless wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 10:33 am At work, things keep breaking, FFS it’s Xmas eve! its a 2019 so might have missed it - endless fun creeping up on people changes very quickly to realising why cyclists are blissfully unawareMr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 9:41 pmHow old is it?asmethurst99 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 9:09 pmOur Beemer doesn't ....it's one of the knacks of driving it that you need to be aware .Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Wed Dec 23, 2020 7:23 pm That's probably the artificial noise generator...seriously.
Electric cars have to make a noise at low speeds so pedestrians and guide dogs can hear them. Since virtually all of them are silent they add the noise with speakers behind the grill.
The rule was only introduced in mid 2019.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Physio was interesting/painful!! Posted the sick note off to relevant place. Been trying to do some paperwork and watching snow falling for a while!! Only cos I'm putting off trying to find a dress for tomorrow
Since the bus isn't running at a time that works to get to the other part of the rest for Christmas Lunch, I'm probably going to have to walk up the piste!! So, will probably need to change when I get there!!
