Well, if I ate both, I could hide the evidence from the wife. But there is a certain gamesmanship in married life by leaving evidence of minor misdeeds

Got up and logged into work. Now looking at the pissing rain, after more than three weeks of SE Asia sunshine.

And two iffy debits on my charge card whilst in Phuket and M&S have cancelled Mrs. G's card as some scallies have been trying to set up fake accounts on it.Count Steer wrote: Wed Jan 21, 2026 9:26 amFeels like it but we've had somedays here. Bright, dry but maybe a tad nippy.

My news feed being flooded with articles about the Beckhams and some Feltz woman (I don't think it's Vanessa).
Why does the world give two shits about this lot? I know I don't.

On a call at work and three people in a row have pronounced the letter 'h' as 'haitch'.

Isn't that a scottish thing? Been watching (well ok, listening to) a series filmed around the Shetlands and noticed that a lot of them pronounced the H on words that we wouldn't normally say it, and the way it was pronounced I would guess they would say 'haitch' ??DefTrap wrote: Fri Jan 23, 2026 3:55 pm On a call at work and three people in a row have pronounced the letter 'h' as 'haitch'.

Mrs Mango's irregular tidying frenzies when important letters on the kitchen table disappear into a black hole (or a cardboard box somewhere). Latest example is a French water bill that should have been paid in November 2025 that I've just unearthed, and taxation reminders for the van and car. Both discovered in a cardboard box under the kitchen table.
Grrrrr....
Grrrrr....
There is no cloud, just somebody else's computer.

Whoever left them lying around?
From the sound of it it's not a new habit, why haven't you learned to deal with yet? Apart from whining on here?
