That's better than the abomination Heinz use as a lid now, it just dribbles out all over the place.Trinity765 wrote: Thu Nov 20, 2025 1:00 pm Sainsbury's own brand squeezy tomato ketchup. To be fair I like all of them on chips, Tommy sauce, mayo, gravy. Salt and vinegar always. Sometimes raw onion with fat chips
This time though, being in a hurry, I accidentally picked up the AK47 of condiments.

I've been in pubs and restaurants recently that have Heinz vinegar, which is just wrong. Sarsons or nuffink!Taipan wrote: Thu Nov 20, 2025 4:57 pm Ketchup and mayo on chips!I know norverners have gravy, but where did this abomination spring from!

The Fronch do NOT understand vinegar on chips, or that I do not mean vinagrette
I learnt to love Mayo on chips when my BDad took us to Belgium and Holland when I was about 7 or 8 !!! Still like ketchup sometimes but the french mayo with dijon mustard wins hands down

Didn't they take all the expensive ingredients out of that and replace them with sugar? Certainly seemed to do that with HP - but Daddies was sweeter/less tangy to start with. Neither of them seem to be what they were.Druid wrote: Thu Nov 20, 2025 7:10 pmMayo is ok, but

Might not be as good as they used to be, but either one is preferable to any variety of tomato sauce

Idiots. A pal of ours works at the airport and the tales of stupidity she tells are amazing.
Last night she told us of a daft bint who was caught vaping on flight here.
Got a right bollocking
When she went to airport with hubby and kids, they wouldn't let her on.
Shouting and screaming but still no.
Tough titty.
Dunno what happened but hubby and kids went home without her
