Most important thing is they tell you how the timer on the eberspacher works and how to operate the coffee machine on the bus.
Warm bus and nasty coffee......bliss!
Haven't got to that yet, but I will make sure they tell me before the winter !! (and I'll take my own coffee !!) Only had one experience of this stuff and it was not good !!!  TBF, we didn't have time for the machine to get proper hot before we set off, definitely nasty coffee !!!

Yeah, the girlie's need to know how to make a cuppa for the men :)
Well, I'm pretty sure that's why the only one I have had from one of those systems was made by the OH and it was disgusting - obviously wants me to learn so that next time I can make it

Looks like an excelent bike route. A bit less than ideal for a bus
[/quote]

In theory yes. But its quite narrow and lacks visibility, so yes, pretty cool, but not remotely quick !!!! There are other better routes for bikes (that are also a bit better for buses )

Did the last school run today, secondary school I guess is the comparison, and a girl I have driven up to where I used to live came to my bus and said "oh, you aren't doing La Plagne today?" - when I said no, she replied (in pretty good english)

"that's a shame, everyone on that bus loves you"

I'm very flattered !! I have no idea why they like me, maybe I drive differently to some of the others? But hey, no complaints here cos that's a really cool thing to have a passenger say :bblonde: :bblonde: :bblonde:

Dunno as I've not met the Director yet. Not saying that's what's going to happen, its just unusual for a director to talk to people under the line managers. Okay you might get a group hello type thing, but its the first (formal) 1-2-1 I've ever had with a director? I wasn't expecting anything like this, especially as we've just had all new kit approved in principle, but who knows, maybe cost cutting is part of the new directors brief?

Had tri-monthly blood test to check kidney/liver functions, flu and covid jabs in same arm. Want to have one usable arm for the rest of the day.
RA treatment kills the immune system and tries to kill the kidneys/liver too :P

Could be a 'skip level ' meeting? Very common in lots of bigger companies.

Wow, is that usual, sounds really odd / isolated but then my direct boss is a director and I have a weekly Teams chat with my bosses boss, the division director just to shoot the shit, talk films / lego /solve the worlds problems etc.

As a team we normally get a meet and greet with a new director, but after that its all line management, with the occasional team meeting. But, yes, this is a first formal 1-2-1 meeting for me.

Only ever had a problem with one director, but so did many others. She tried to downgrade me and rewrote my job description, but with the help of the union and eventually HR, she lost her attempt but the new JD stood. So I got paid the same to do less! :wtf: :D

I'm both a service provider and income stream, so normally I fly under the radar...

Pretty much what you said. Shes very personable and wanted to meet everyone in her team on a1-2-1 basis. Apparently, I'm very well liked and known for being very helpful! 8-) :D

Another day spent mostly lying on my back.

Did something egregious to my lower spine over the weekend (we were painting the facia boards, so up a ladder and stretching sideways), Monday morning i was stiff, but after an hour or so sat at my desk i could barely move.
Got an osteo appt Monday afternoon which unlocked my spine somewhat and have been slowly improving since.

Currently still can't walk easily, and bending in any direction is agony.

Today was okay. Managed to get a doctor's appointment to deal with my ear infection. Took a service of Holy Communion in the church, then had a Bible Study. Home to sort lunch for daughter. Sorted admin work, got a grant to install a sound system in the church hall with induction loop!! Ordered the kit. Working on stuff for later on. Visited the doctor, collected the prescription. Antibiotics. Will see how they fare against this raging ear ache. Not much else I can do. Bible Study later on tonight, need to collect the wife first.

Great 👍

I used to do these with my teams back when I had a fancy job title. Just plain old nobody these days and it's very refreshing :obscene-drinkingcheers:
