A cheap Chinese brake disc, it warped the first time I used the brake.

Put three legs on it, use it as a milking stool. Oh, you'll need to buy a cow

Just sell it as a genuine 'something hipstery' milking stool and you'll get your money back.

I think I've done that in the past.....
That's not a single part, that's a collection of loosely related parts travelling temporarily in (not so) close formation.

Indeed - you should never think of it as a whole thing - more a coalition ....Rockburner wrote: โFri Dec 11, 2020 12:15 pmI think I've done that in the past.....

Re: The worst bike part you ever bought?
A pair of Jota bars... remember them?
Fitted them to my 400-F and found the only position where everything lined up was basically how the original bars were aligned.
Then I braked hard one afternoon later that week and the weld on one side parted. Fortunately I'd almost stopped by then and managed to stay upright. I can't remember how I lashed them up to ride home. I suspect it probably involved spanners from the tool kit and lots of gaffer tape.

I once bought a set of tassels for the ends of my bars.
In my defence I was only 17 at the time and knew no better.

To be fair to you, it was in the 1960s.Cousin Jack wrote: โThu Dec 17, 2020 10:02 am I once bought a set of tassels for the ends of my bars.

I'm not sure even that can be used in defence. It's one of those things that marks a person for life, permanently and without forgiveness.Le_Fromage_Grande wrote: โThu Dec 17, 2020 10:35 amTo be fair to you, it was in the 1960s.Cousin Jack wrote: โThu Dec 17, 2020 10:02 am I once bought a set of tassels for the ends of my bars.

Seriously though, Boyer Bransden Micro Power crankshaft triggered โracingโ ignition was prone to tantrums.
And expensive.
