Love the styling and look of that, it's sort of not one thing or the other in practical terms, but that's really not that unusual now I guess, and that's not what it's about.
I reckon a pitbike probably has a larger capacity tank though

I like it to look at, I'd want some different tyres on it before I'd ride it.
It would look better with a longer seat
And this looks better

If you're going to copy and paste the headlines, can you at least proof them?
(unless of course I've mistranslated it in my head - I don't know what IT Enduros are - unless it's a mis-type of ISDT ?)
FWIW I quite like the look, but that chain is not going to last long! (unless, again, I'm wrong and off-road bikes run very slack chains as standard)

Re: YAMAHA SCRAMBLER: AN XSR700 THAT EVOKES THE IT ENDUROS
Yamaha ITs were endures bikes based on the motor cross bikes, generally they were tuned for a bit of mid range, but it wasn't unusual for the faster people to use YZs disguised as ITs
They were great bikes, especially the 175.

Now it all makes sense. Cheers.KungFooBob wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 10:54 am IT's were a range of Yamaha enduro bikes.

I really liked the first picture and then I took a minute or so to look at the other pictures and the more you look at it, the more it looks naff.
It's like the RD350LC copies, the colour scheme and some of the lines draw you in, but once you look at it properly it just looks gauche - like a fat 50yr old bloke wearing skinny jeans and a SuperDry t-shirt.
I like that people are buggering about in sheds doing this stuff and I like that it's getting posted here, it's good bike discussion, but I don't like the concept of these lardy bargain end four strokes being tarted up to look like old two strokes, the first one was novel but now it's just crap.

I prefer this one...
https://www.bikeexif.com/yard-built-yamaha-xsr700
But whoever came up with these ridiculous seat and rear end minimalist designs is ruining the look of bikes for a whole generation.
In the future they'll be looked back on like the mullet.
With a decent seat unit and an actual seat instead of the hipster small plank of foam it would look great.
