File/folder comparison software

Post by Ant »

Hello, does anyone here know of some software which I could use to compare the contents of folders? I need to ensure the contents of simple 'copy and paste' back ups all have the same content.

Thanks.

Dunno about the comparison side of things, but if you're doing C&P style backups you should maybe think about using robocopy with the /MIR switch.

Thanks guys, got a few ideas. There was just a discrepancy over the number of files, which I think is down to Adobe making another file in the working copy directory, which is why the backups showed a small number difference.

I use smartsync - 30 day trial use - great bit of basic software for copying files from A to B and checking for changes.
