want new frame to replace a carbon cx

Post by porter_jamie »

on one dirty disco, is disk mtb wheels on qr so 135 rear and 100 front qr. it has nice bits, 105 gears, xt brakes (flat bars) and really nice stans wheels.

i want a frame which will allow me to run much wider tyres, 40c minimum and has mudguard and rack mounts ideally and is flat barred. so probably a hybrid type frame or even a rigid 29er.

ideas? theres plenty of frames available for over a grand, and they all seem to have silly axle sizes, im thinking 2 or 3 hundred quid

see my edit - space chicken is silly money, and london road isnt available as a frame i dont think. i think the wheels might convert to thru axle, but im not sure. once upon a time, on one did any amount of frames for a couple of 100 quid, such as an inbred

That was the old days - I think I got my on-one 456 for about 160 GBP

They've knocked the Inbreds out for silly money too recently, but i think axle again.

I've got an On-One PArkwood 29er which if you buy used as a frame you'd get for that money. But doesn't have rack/mudguard mounts anyway :)
