This guy clearly was not adhering to guidelines. I'm amazed he completed his voyage safely.

I've chosen to send my kids to school as they need an education. Should the advice change, as it looks like it might in London then we will change what we do.You have chosen to send your kids to school as per guidance from a fucking clown and then it's others fault that you now have to pay the consiquences.
It's not about my struggling. Meetings can be cancelled, that's not the issue FFS. My boss and my company are very flexible, we're all in this shit together. Many are worse off, many are sick and will die...hence me ranting about people being dicks and not taking precautions to protect each other. All three of the places of education we use have implemented excellent stratagies to protect staff, pupils and parents. However, the other places I have to visit for necessity - supermarket etc. I see people not wearing masks or not wearing them properly. It's simply staggering that they won't take this seriously.Have a word with yourself, others are struggling just as much as you are and worse!
Your attitude is exactly what i have been predicting, more divide between society caused by the Tories over silly little things like not wearing a mask.
Covid is making us turn on each other more than ever, be more understanding of people, they are not all in the same boat as you!
But hey Greenman, what do they know?World Health Organisation wrote: Masks should be used as part of a comprehensive strategy of measures to suppress transmission and save lives; the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of protection against COVID-19.
If COVID-19 is spreading in your community, stay safe by taking some simple precautions, such as physical distancing, wearing a mask, keeping rooms well ventilated, avoiding crowds, cleaning your hands, and coughing into a bent elbow or tissue. Check local advice where you live and work. Do it all!
Make wearing a mask a normal part of being around other people. The appropriate use, storage and cleaning or disposal of masks are essential to make them as effective as possible.

I suppose your right, but people need to take more care when taking advise from any government, they don't give a fuck about you and only want to line their back pockets with more gold.
Totally fine if you want to take the governments advise, but people should not blame others for the choices they make.
Do what you want but don’t take others down with you. So socialise and hang around with your anti vax, anti mask freedom fighters - and stay the fuck away from anyone else.
And don’t go near government funded GPs or hospitals when you get sick. Babylon will just fuck it up ....

Re: Covid restrictions - are you adhering or not?
I like the mask thing - it's a great test of a hooman's desire not to visibly be seen to be cowtowing to the will of 'the man' in a way that almost every other covid rule does not because it can't be interpreted. And yet, if you did do it without question it would show that you really cared for the people most likely to be in harm's way, despite your misgivings around the validity of 'the science', the potential for your own government to stitch you up, suppress you, or a forin government to microchip you or steal your personality somehow.
It's like a litmus test for fules.

After four and a half hours on a water scooter I doubt he wanted that shag any more. At least not until after a bit of a rest.Noggin wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 8:36 pmBecause the lady loves . . . . . Re: Covid restrictions - are you adhering or not?
Is it national or just down here on the south coast that the facemask rule does not apply in local newsagents/cornershops? I would hazard a guess that community transmission rates are pretty high in this type of place. I'm not calling for something to be done about it as it is my choice but there doesn't seem to be any fear amongst the owners of prosecution - are they liable anyway? They stick a hand written poster on the door "Please wear a facemask" and carry on as (old) normal - job done.

We're in the South Coast, Chichester, and pretty much everyone one in this area complies with the mask wearing rules. But I can't speak for further east such as Worthing, or further west such as Portsmouth, both of which I believe have much highet transmission rates than here.Trinity765 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 5:28 am Is it national or just down here on the south coast that the facemask rule does not apply in local newsagents/cornershops? In Pompey they love a mask..they even wear them when driving alone or walking on the empty hill slopes .. compliance in shops is surprisingly high. I think the few that don’t comply are therefore more noticeable??irie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 8:04 amWe're in the South Coast, Chichester, and pretty much everyone one in this area complies with the mask wearing rules. Brighton and Hove. Covid broke out here initially, at my doctors and was then spread from the pub that is most local to me. I was pottering around listening to BBC news and realised that I could hear my friend on the telly saying "I don't know why they are closed".

Re: Covid restrictions - are you adhering or not?
I've generally stuck to the rules mainly as there is bugger all to do/places to go.
I WFH and generally walk the kids to/from school and that's it, I've turned into a bloody Hermit In the last month I've been to Maldon for a walk (all outdoors), Duxford wearing a mask in doors and the place was empty anyway, a couple of trips into Hertford mainly just to get out of the house again mainly outdoors and a coffee with my brother in Welwyn during his lunch hour.
Xmas I'm gonna see my parents and In laws and that's it. Not seeing my brothers or Mrs sister as they are in Spain anyway.
Must admit I'm getting cabin fever as I'm just not seeing anyone/getting out enough. Can't seeing changing much till March/April either

Same here in Bracknell, I only go to Tesco but every time I do almost everyone is wearing a mask. I went to Burnham Beeches near Slough a couple of weeks ago and almost no one wore a mask when buying coffee.
