There's two of them on the B1368. Used to be old giffers pointing their gun and taking registration numbers. Now it's a naughty boy / girl letter unless you are doing 50 or more and it'll go straight to the po lice.

Nasty,vindictive people on a power trip and who've totally swallowed the 'speed kills' missive. The same mentality of drivers who sound their horn and flash their lights if you've dared to overtake their achingly slow arses.

According to my letter, speed is a factor in 25% of accidents that are fatal or lead to serious injury, shouldn't something be done about whatever is causing the other 75% where speed isn't a factor, and remember, in that 25%, speed is only a factor, not necessarily, the cause.

There's two of them on the B1368. .

Yup, the one by The Chequers and the other further up. We have exactly the same cameras, 1 pointing towards Hertford, the other coming from Hoddesdon by Haileybury Collage. I've not seen them anywhere else yet so must be fairly rare. Hertfordshire 5.0 were obviously excited about it as they stuck it on their YouTube when they were installed. Judging by the speed smiley face opposite showing red/unhappy a hell of a lot I'd say the cameras haven't done much. I think the council were moved to do something when a house on the entry to the village from Hertford had to install concrete barriers as they'd had 4 cars crash through their garden in a couple of years, 2 on their roof (the car roof) and 1 a few feet from the actual house.

I was on my bike the other day, when a white bmw overtook myself and about 5 cars on a blind left hander about 60/70 mph, anything coming the other way, would of been carnage.

I'm all for Dashcam footage of this sort of thing being sent in to plod (apparently cash rewards are available) but grassing to the police for going a bit quick in some limits is a bit cunty. Ye, I hear the " what if it was your village " but you can very safely break speed limits a bit, almost by mistake, just riding/ driving sensibly, probably do it every time I'm out, especially the Welsh 20s.

TBF if I'd had multiple instances of people attempting to park in my living room I'd be a bit cunty about speeders too.

BTW "breaking speed limits by mistake" always sounds to me like "I don't know how fast I'm going"
