Roads I know really well. Often I'll cycle from home to Cromer Heath, up to Rushdon, Mill End, Buckland, Reed, Royston, Great Chishill, Hayden, down to the 505 , Fowlmere then to Cambridge. It's interesting on bicycle or motorbike. I'll give you a wave if I see you again.Supermofo wrote: Mon Jul 28, 2025 1:56 pmWas a nice day for it, decent temperature and no rainSaying that I went out in just a t-shirt and leather jacket and was a bit chilly when I got back. I like the B1368, use that for driving to Duxford too as it's got some nice villages/scenery and avoids Royston. Stopped at the Beehive in Hare Street on the way back from the flying day on Friday as my son loves the Ducks in the garden. I often go out/back that way on the bike when going Saffron Waldon way as I like the B1039 to Wendens Ambo as well.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Last week..Stafford..no pic's.
The glorious Red Rocker continental is having it's 2nd service today, Bought 12 months ago new. About 2.5k miles and some good rides had.
Being a fantastic bike it's developed a couple of issues, one is a knocking noise when swishing the petrol about, done it for age's, the other is no back brake. Lever bottoms out. Don't use it much but on the 2nd to last ride I noticed it didn't work at all.
Now these are the little things that make Enfields so special.

Re: When/Where/Pics was the last time you rode your bike ?
Three hundred miles on the Hypermotard, I'm positive this wasn't in the design brief for the seat.
One of the Spanish bar owners in the village said there's a group that leave from the petrol station most Thursdays and go out for brunch. I then got introduced to an English bloke, Glen, who goes out with the Spanish lot on Thursdays. A Whatsapp from Glen says this week will be a long one, we're leaving at 8am, I invite my mate Andy and we're joined by Diego. Apparently, it really is a long one and the rest aren't up for it.
Diego and Glen are members of a bike club (it's not really) called the The Railroaders, there's branches all over Spain and each branch sets a challenge. The challenge is riding around and taking a picture at various places to prove you've been there. The've been doing the challenge from the Albacete branch in stages, this is one of those stages. To cut a long story story short, we eventually we arrive at place called Villarrobledo which is the furthest point on todays ride and meet Juan from the Albacete branch of the Railroaders. Juan takes us to the last location of the day, Minaya station, and from there it's home to La Romana. Before he left Juan gave Andy and I the official badge for the challenge.
