First early run of the year. Just shy of 3 hours chilling on fine empty roads. 8-)

My pal runs an enduro tour business and often invites me along for the ride.

Bike swapping Barry was on his new to him 1200 Bandit,he's had it for a few weeks now,I'll give him until June before it get's chopped in for something else...

I've not been on the Streeet Triple for a couple of weeks,so after we split for our relevant homes I went for a short solo spin back on the moss roads.

Nice day to be out on the bikes

It rained today for the first time in weeks. I've not been able to say that truthfully too many times.

Managed a short run on the bike after garden duties.

Was down your way yesterday to drop off my GS for some fettling and take home the R1150RT I bought.

As soon as I got to Kilwaughter is pissed down and I was drenched.

Did 80 miles on the RT today. Runs sweet.

Missed the opportunity to get out in the great weather of the past few days, but needed to grab the opportunity today.
I won’t get the chance for the next few weekends due to various commitments, so even though the weather forecast was a bit ropey off I went.

Even though my destination at the Triumph Factory was only 12 miles away as the crow flies, I had a nice hour covering about 35miles meandering through North Warwickshire and Leicestershire to get there.
Using the Beeline navigation in compass mode allowed me to explore where I wanted but stay roughly on course, and considering I have been there many times before, at least 50% of the lanes I went along were new to me.

After a quick coffee I set off home in a similar manner, then had to cross the M6, so took the opportunity to grab a quick shot for the riding challenge thread, but too late so I’ll share here.

Took the wheel back to the garage today between jobs. Picked it up when i finished and the slow turned out to be a duff valve. Probably means he never cleaned the rim or something just as daft but sorted now in time for the rain

Considering how frequently I cycle around that lake it's a miracle I'm not in that photo.

Over the trough of Bowland and round to Devil's bridge, then over Halton Gill and through Bolton Abbey to home, mainly on nadgery roads.

Never really enjoyed the trough road before because of the poor surface but the Himalayan is very confidence inspiring over the trough stuff as you'd expect.

The wind made it fairly chilly and quite noisy in the lid, I think the peak messages it worse

Got a switched feed sorted for my usb charger and a decent location to mount my phone case for nav duties which held together for the 4 hours 👍

Pic is near Helwith Bridge at a handy gate for a wee stop 👴

Out on the North Downs for a little 2 stroke fun yesterday.

The trails are bone dry which is unusual for the middle of April.

Came across this lovely plaque fixed high on a tree and now I want to know the story behind Grandad’s Leap :P

I never really had time to enjoy it on the Guzzi as I was always looking for gravel and potholes, but yes, it's a great road, and I'm looking forward to returning via Salter Fell once I get my hips sorted

A good three hour or so there-and-back ride today for lunch with family.

Found a cracking B-Road that I'd never been down before during my relentless efforts to avoid dual carriageways & especially motorways. I reckon, on a bike at least, this route added maybe 15 minutes to the normal car/Mway route.

Well worth it.

No pics, it was a good road!
