Brother-in-law had a hip replacement a couple of months ago, he fell at the weekend and this is the result.

How are they going to fix it? Can they fix the bone again??

More than just slightly interested as, although a different joint, this is my biggest fear. Some medics have said that if I break the bits of bone that the two ends of my shoulder replacement are attached to (it goes into the humerus and is screwed into the shoulder socket) then there is a good chance I'll lose the use of my arm or even lose the arm :wtf: :wtf:


REALLY hope your BIL has a very much better outcome and that they can fix the bone and get everything working again - fingers crossed

Nasty break! :shock: Looks like its going to need a couple of jubilee clips round that! :shifty: Having had my bones drilled out for new knee joints to be glued in, i'm very cautious about jumping off ladders etc. I have visions of the joints coming loose! :crazy:

Bugger!!!

I have a hip replacement myself, that has gone wrong. But at least I am still in one piece!
I wish your brother in law well, and hope that they can get him sorted out.

I had arthritis in my hip and pelvis so I know his pain. This is a good memento from my x rays.
